Rifat and I, being worn out from yesterday, decided to take our time and have fun today. We traveled at about noon to Brighton Beach (Little Russia in America, kind of).

Once there, we met old men playing chess, who did not want to talk to us. Some pretty Russian girls laughed at me. We were invited t0 a Russian Baptist church and then decided to get some Uzbek food. Pictures of this whole ordeal are available, but now we have to run so we can add money to our van’s meter.

The first two paragraphs were written a couple of hours ago. After getting to the van we took off for Long Island Beach.

Word of warning: Read the signs posted at beach entrance. It’s a whole lot less surprising to see a guy walking around with no pants on after reading those signs than before.

We will be posting pictures and videos tomorrow. (Of the beach and our hosts’ house. Not of the naked guy.)

Where is the last beach you went to? Ocean or Lake? How did you like it? What did you do?

    More pics inside posts!

  2. Haha, I know what you mean. Our society in general is much more visual than previous generations.

In Russia, are students taught more with lectures or with powerpoints/multi-media presentations?

In the U.S. we have been more and more heading toward mutli-media, but I am interested to know if that is just us or everyone.
